Somebody nutshell what an NFT is, keep in mind I have an intermediate understanding of blockchain + crypto + fintech, so don’t worry - I just want the lay down.
Rumors have it that “The Birds Interlude” & “Baddest B**** Around” will be auctioned off for an undisclosed amount of coin.

greatest grails of all time
NFT's are dumb
However it's the kind of bullshit you can make alot of money on right now so I suggest exploiting your chances as much as possible for the next couple of months.
This is literally one of those "right place right time" situations where dumbasses like us can make a damn good amount of money off bullshit.

U get to own the actual art piece. Blockchain verifies who owns the piece through transactions. Not really that much different then me buying a signed art piece from artists in real life

crypto is full of scammers/get rick quick types and everyone who wants to make some quick cash is rushing to NFTs so its full of red flags

that is because it is owned by the French Republic not somebody who has loaned it to a museum or in a private collection not shown to the public. Think of how much art is in the world that we cant see...
NFTs are pretty much like somebody buys something that everybody else got for free... there is nothing tangible attached to it.

NFTS are essentially contracts though where the owner can decide the % share they have of the product after selling it. its immutable afterwards and i think producers should be leveraging this tech tbh

maybe it's complicated bc it raises questions of what ownership is. when ultimately ownership is just consensus
