They’re laughing cause it’s a comedic scene
If you actually watched it you’d know that
My bad.
Bro, they're laughing at Abel's acting in the theatres
This is literally a comedic point in the movie
Why are you on a crusade against the man itt? Did you even see it?

It was literally meant to be funny . The whole scene was framed to build up to him just straight up dismissing her
what do you think her burning down his house with his childhood stuff/call from her mom represented
I’m still trying to piece that out. Essentially, Jenna is playing Abel, right? So In the opening credits scene she was sobbing while pouring the gas across the house so it might of been a symbolism of him having to forcefully burn what was left of his old self before going onstage and embodying his Persona (The Weeknd). Basically suppressing whatever trauma and complexes that were triggered by his toxic breakup, (there’s a LOT in this film about his views of women, how that ties in with his mother, his ex, and Anima herself). this is a really incoherent read, but there’s a lot to unpack with this movie lmfao

He was in his bag acting wise when it came to comedy tbh
That stare he gives to her when he walks in on her crying had me dying
Yeah, but at least back then, I got incredible music and not a nigga trying to force his way into being a respected actor through terrible acting lol.
trilogy was 14 years ago, time to let it go lil sis
I wonder how many takes it took to get the voicemail scene. That was really f***ing good, I was shocked bro

Lee is also representing Abel as well

man if I knew from the trailers that he was freaking out over a woman and not him losing his voice
idk if they're real or veneers but them s***s were distracting in a couple of scenes lmaoooo
He got them a while ago no? Do we all forget like 2014/2015? I feel like that’s the last point in time I saw him with his natural teeth
No wonder he did a review embargo prior to the film

Relax.

I forgot all about it lmao
drake stans in here posting in bad faith
Soon as I seen who posted the hate I knew what the play was
Who gives it a s*** if some people don’t like it
Lee is also representing Abel as well
Is he the superego? Do you think? Or I guess, the ultra hedonistic toxic masculine side that enables his d\*\*\* use and narcissism
man if I knew from the trailers that he was freaking out over a woman and not him losing his voice
Constant themes of abandonment, whether that’s his ex or his dad or his voice, lol.
To my understanding Abel had Trey completely write the screenplay from top to bottom but I wonder who’s decision was it to make this movie about psychoanalysis?
i admire divine, the level of sheer joy you get out of this is commendable
Kendrick told us all to be the biggest haters
Kendrick traumatized him ^^
