Product placement in music videos. It's out of control. It's almost a joke.

I want to make a video that's nothing but product placement.

Scratch that - it's not even product placement. My idea is to do a music video that is seven 30 second commercials strung together.

It's real products. Pepsi. BMW. Doritos. Tylenol. Ikea. Absolut Vokda. The commercials look and feel like real spots. We're not making fun of any brands. All we're doing is making a series of advertisements.

It's an insane idea that's the ultimate satire of product placement and celebrity endorsements. It's going to blow peoples minds and be a viral phenomenon.

Ignoring the specific brands and specific content; simply imagine what it would look like to see a music video that is nothing but divided into 30 and 15 second segments. We keep fading to black, and then fade up again and we're in a brand new commercial.

It's going to be insane and very hilarious.

THE BRANDS

It HAS to be real brands. I've seen plenty of videos that spoof fake brands. That's obvious.

But here's the thing - it can be any brand. We just need a variety. Of course we'd love to start with the products that Will.I.Am and Britney Spears are already endorsing.

THE PERFORMANCE

The song would play throughout. Will.I.Am & Britney Spears would be lipsyncing. But for the rest, they'd be acting out the scenes like a regular commercial.

So there's Will.I.Am at a Taco Bell, enjoying a 7 layer burrito with his girl. Next spot, he's playing a Dad with a headache in a Tylenol commercial. Then he's dressed in sci-fi clothing advertising the new Mazda.

THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS

Cameos from commercial spokespersons?

Recreations of obscure 2000s commercials?

"Sampling" file footage from other commercials (like product shots, driving footage, etc.)

Even simply compositing Will.I.Am into some big budget commercials?

IT'S ALSO A PARODY OF COMMERCIALS THAT PLAY BEFORE YOUTUBE VIDEOS

People won't know when the ads stop and the music video begins!

IT WILL BLOW PEOPLE'S MINDS

There will be people who don't get this. There will be people that think is brilliant. But it's going to have everyone talking.

This is postmodern. It's satire. No one has done anything like this before.

AND IN A PERFECT WORLD

Advertisers pay for the whole damn thing. Hell, they can even write the commercials if they want to.
