Just tried rewatching this show and it still gives me an aneurysm. Doesn’t hold up at all in light of current political climate of last 6-7 yrs, it makes working in the White House look like hanging out at joss whedons house and less stressful than a busy five guys shift. erosion of middle class and never ending middle eastern conflicts of last two decades have teared that whole facade away, or at least revealed those in power never really gave a s*** in the first place.

Show also assumes that so long as you sound really witty and make good arguments and speeches, goodness will prevail in Washington DC. and the obama admin proved time and time again that’s just surface level aesthetics and weak clout. its only a tv show yadda yadda yadda but this tv show has corrupted generations of minds toward their idea of what US politics and the presidency is
