Being gay became more acceptable in 2010s, I remember there was a gay gang terrorizing my area when I was in high school which caused even more homophobia

I’m not sure if anyone else experienced that

Sounds like a pretty unique experience

It’s def a normal thing in the hood. Doesn’t make it okay but as someone from that environment I understand why they think the way they do.

The ghetto is just toxic in general, full of misogyny, self hatred & homo/transphobia

Even now when I go back & try to correct some old time friends that homophobia is incorrect they think I’m trying to force an “agenda” on them

A lot of niggas in the hood think accepting gay people is part of an agenda

Living your life and not worrying about other people's biases and perception is hard when society and other people's biases directly detracts from your quality of life and in some cases leads to you being murdered

    I cant hide being black.

    I cant disguise it.

I'm constantly minimized and trivialized and discriminated against.

But I have grown to accept this and thrive because of it.

Idgaf what someone says or thinks about me in their own head.

Once it goes beyond that realm and its affecting my way of life, then it's an issue.

People are always gonna hate me because im Black.

    Their problem, not mines.

I think it's beneficial to strive to be a better society and change people's minds so that they're more accepting of people. Thoughts lead to behaviors and actions. By educating people you can prevent people from being marginalized and treated like s***, which is what black people and transgender people have seen happen to them historically

Because you have to see the positive and negative of doing something.

Getting rid of social constructs such as gender, leads to people wanting to get rid of other social constructs as I mentioned. Which begins to open doors.

So we can’t just say “get rid of gender” without a***yzing the negative sides that come with it. It’s unfortunate but it’s 100% plausible. Case being those who currently argue that pedophilia should be normalized.

Because the minute you say “ok no more gender”, the next man will say “ok then no more race” and then the next person says “well no more numeric age then” it’s a domino effect.

I still have yet to see any downside of getting rid of gender. You say it opens up the door to "normalizing" pedophilia but we still have scientific evidence that pretty much makes that impossible

I have no idea what that's like and I empathize that you have to deal with this and it's disgusting that this is still an issue. But telling people to "suck it up and deal with it" has never worked in the history of any problem ever in the world.

U just gotta keep that s*** to urself these days. Like obv it don't make sense for a dude to chop off his d*** and now he's a woman...i won't associate with s*** like that but I will also happily call the dude a woman and get out of there, live and let live. If dude wants to be called she it doesn't affect me at all. I don't gotta vibe with it to call someone she. It's no big deal for me so let em get on as their freaky selves.

A lot of big street guys were getting beat up & shot by them

Social constructs are not getting questioned simply because they are social constructs but because they become obsolete or not useful anymore. Pretty much everything in our lives are social constructs or else we’d still be living like cavemen

    I dont blame them.

I think transexuality becoming normalized and widely accepted is a pipe dream.

Just live your life and stop worrying about other people's perceptions. As long as no one is discriminating based on that bias, who gives af?

Well duh, but excusing those who are spouting hateful beliefs and saying "oh well that's just how some people are" doesnt allow them to live that hypothetical low key life in the first place. It should be condemned and penalized not excused and ignored. Transphobia is way more impactful than just someone being called a T*****, if we set the bar as low as "I acknowledge your existence" we are not addressing any of the problems. It's not about literally ending the concept of Transphobia its about educating people so there are less transphobes in the first place and limiting the power of people to discriminate against them.

That’s how I feel, the other side don’t understand that tho. Live and let live. Not let’s destroy this person and try to cancel them. Seem cisphobic if that’s a thing

I don’t in no way want you to take it as I’m comparing being trans to being a pedophile. In no way at all am I saying that.

But I mapped it out very clearly for you, if you refuse to see it then idk what else to say.

If you get rid of gender roles it will lead to someone saying “let’s get rid of race then to end racism, etc”....right or wrong?

It would also lead to people saying “let’s get rid of age” (as far as numeric goes)....if you get rid of age it makes it harder to control things that comes with it as far as who can legally drink and who cannot, who can have s***and who cannot, what qualifies as a minor and what qualifies as an adult.

If you lose that clear control it’s pretty obvious what that leads to.

You used a 6 year old as an example, but realize having s***with a 13-15 year old that looks like an adult is still pedophilia.
