1. Not sure yet... quit my job as a software engineer. Everything I was doing felt pointless. I guess if I do it again I want to do it for a non profit or some type of company that actually does something of benefit for the common person in society
2.Don't have a dream job / career tbh. I guess it would be music since I love making it, but the industry it toxic af and I wouldn't want to become hyper successful if it meant losing my integrity and freedom.
just graduated major marketing graphic design minor and now im getting my mba
i want to do creative based marketing and advertising
Current career path: Middle grade and secondary English teacher
Side gig: Writing novels, short stories, screenplays
My dream: Having my own TV show, preferably in animation. I'm building the platform with a graphic novel that is in production.
What? The screenwriter thing? I don’t know but I could still do something in that industry if I fail.
it's unsolicited advice g. why would you know any better than him on what he should or should not do?
I know from studying the field, living in LA and having neighbors that work in the industry that getting into screenwriting takes a lot of grunt work as a production assistant or intern. Since Hollywood isn't fully open right now, that kind of work is on pause for the moment.
Work as a barista or something, pay your dues and kiss a lot of ass and you may be able to work on a show someday. You're going to have to do a lot of unpaid or poorly paid work though.
Music engineering

yeah i can kinda get it. proportionately, it's one of the least stressful jobs in tech and for most that's when they break into $125k+ territory. on the other hand, career ladder getting there is quite steep and a lot of people never pick up bash/linux
Yeah I wanna start a business or do something where I can lay around all day and do nothing while getting paid
Doesn’t work like that my guy :/ take it from an entrepreneur himself

Notice the non inclusive “or” in that statement you quoted

You need a weird career path. Basically need to start managing production from a novice (what I did) and then pick up good dev practices as you go
