24 and still live at home. I'm from NJ though where everyone lives at home until you're like 30 though lmao. I'd like to move out at 25 though it's just so damn expensive

I guess it depends. I barely know anyone in their 20s friends, family etc that live on their own

  • 22. Pops couldn't keep a job and the constant fear of me living out of my car or a homeless shelter made me move out. Plus at that age, I finally had a job that I could afford rent.

At 18 I moved out for college up until 23 and that freedom was way too good cause it felt like hell once I got back home

At 24- they made me feel bad for still living with them after less than a year of being out of college & gave me a date to either get out or make me pay rent to live in a place where I basically can’t sleep in when I want to, always checking in when I’m out late and doing their chores and constantly being interrogated about my life

Id honestly rather be struggling living on my own vs staying with them

I’m 21 and I’m gonna graduate in a year. I’ll move out afterwards. My crib is gonna be decked

Honestly if your parents aren’t tripping I’d say take your time and save up for your own place/get a goof job to support yourself cause it’s really not worth it unless you hate being at home

  • Jun 6, 2020

23 hated everything was legit angry the moment i woke up, so i dipped and moved to a different part of the world

Why are some of y'all feeling guilty moving out? I feel guilty being here and I'm just 20 lmao. Not because I do anything wrong but the feeling of being dependant sucks even with a job and school
