For me it's The Stoned Immaculate by Curren$y. Spitta was my favorite rapper so to see him release his major label debut felt momentous.
It came out at the perfect time in my life too. I was a college student with no responsibilities. Just living life having fun.
My car at the time didn't have a cd player so I would whip my mom's Suzuki to my friend's house blasting the cd. Showroom had it feeling like two 15s in the trunk.
I also started smoking weed around this time, going to clubs, f***ing with hoes, etc. The Stoned Immaculate was the soundtrack to it all. When Spitta came to Atlanta that November, me and a few homies went. Nigga performed all the highlights from the album. Even KRIT came out and did Jet Life. 2012 was a great year.
Graduation.
It came out my freshman year so it was the soundtrack to my high school days. I remember seeing the Stronger vid on MTV. I still consider it my most favorite album ever.
Life Is Good also has a good memory attached to it. I got super into Nas in high school via my best friend, and this was the first album I got to watch drop in real time. When The Don dropped me and my friend were at the beach and we sprinted up and down it like our minds had been blown. It’s still a really interesting song to this day. Nas doesn’t really have another song like that one. When the album came out we cruised around listening to it
Take Care
Came out my freshman year in college and was literally living a lot of the lyrics. Everyone around me was bumping the album so it just kind of soundtracked all the parties, women, and memories that I was going through. Also just the fact that it was the album that solidified Drake as becoming “Drake”, it helped me become a more adult version of myself as I was getting exposed to things you typically see once you leave hs. Just really means a lot to me
I’ll go with carti’s self titled. I remember just coming to work and they played his album in the back never knew who he was or anything but everybody was vibing to it I liked it immediately and actually bought it. It brought us all together in a way
Die Lit
TLOP
As a huge Drake fan I have a few
C2 - heard Hustler Muzik in the car with my dad and we immediately went to Best Buy to get the album
College Dropout - First album I tried to buy on my own, store guy said i was too young, so I pirated it
Blonde - 2016 was a huge year for me
So far Gone - dedicated best I ever had to my GF at the time
MOTM 2, Graduation, 808s, MBDTF, C3, The Cool, F&L, S80, GKMC, Oxymoron, Control System
A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out
depends on the person, time or event is the topic of the sentimental feelings

from the westside with love vol 1
man take me back to those days
That’s a dope story @op
For me it would have to be swimming. I ended up getting a couple CDs when I bought a few tickets to the show (had no idea I would get CDs) so I gave one away and kept 2. I took one of them and put in my cars cd player in 2018. 6 years later it’s still the only cd after changing cars a few times. Hella memories with that album cause it would play every time I turned on the car. Shoutout Mac, amazing album. Even ended up getting a scuba man tattoo

Amazing album man.
Mac Miller - Macadelic, Tyler The Creator - WOLF, Schoolboy Q - Oxymoron, Joey Badass - 1999, Kevin Gates - Luca Brasi Story (1 + 2), probably more that I can't name off the top of my head.
Probably The Eminem Show.
First album I ever fell in love with that wasn’t a greatest hits thing
Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS
just coming off a period of being addicted to redacted and was down in the dumps, then all of a sudden we get a contemporary pop album dealing with insecurity, conflict, anxiety, and doubt. It contains the correct blend of ballads and turn ups for it to never ever have a dull moment.
Tyler The Creator - WOLF
I haven't listened to this album for quite some time, but when it came out it left a huge impression on someone who was just beginning to get into hip-hop.
Kanye West - Yeezus
Ye making what I still think is a concept album where he takes his public persona and makes a satire of it with industrial inspired beats. I thought this dude is really a rockstar to have the balls to do this.
Drake - NWTS
Take Care was a smash, but without the success of NWTS.. Drake would never be where he is today.
2013 might be one of my favourite years in general which is part of the reason why I look back on these with such fondness.

i think you've gone mad (or sins of the father)
just beautiful music that strikes every emotion
Nas Life is Good. I was in a dark place and that album for some reason really resonated with me.
Nothing Was The Same, for the memories in high school alone
Forest Hill Drive because J Cole really tapped into something special on there and I still was figuring my s*** out.
Pink Floyd's "The Wall," particularly the song "Hey You." My family was being targeted out of hate and this song kind of calmed things down for me

Spitta was Carti’s fav rapper and when Kendrick was coming up he was trying to sound like him & Wayne I think there’s a video where he says that he copied his flow patterns
