MBDTF has his best flows & lyrics. Unreal how ppl think LR is better or Kanye at his “lyrical peak”
Kanye’s flows were next level on MBDTF & his lines hit harder than ever
Very surprised nobody has even mentioned Graduation in this thread. Besides Drunk and Hot Girls being peak goofy Ye, his verses are all great. Just goes to show that good arguments can be made for any of his albums pre-Ye.
TCD for content, themes and most memorable lines
But maybe LR/MBDTF overall
Those three albums are probably his most hip hop too so maybe that brings it out of him

yeah his writing is really interesting on Grad but maybe because it's more simplified and doesn't have as much substance in the content people don't put it in this discussion.
Late Registration is slightly more consistent than CD or MBDTF, but they're all up there at the top.
Listened to watch the throne, Ye, and MBDTF on my flight yesterday & forgot how lyrical Ye was on WTT...so imma have to go with WTT. He outperforms jay on almost every track

I'd say LR has better flows whereas MBDTF has harder bars

Hard disagree based on Gorgeous So Appalled & Monster flows alone

Gone, diamonds, Touch the sky. Man just sounds so smooth on those beats

That's the older Jay tho...
