My mental health has been declining in the past month or so due to the increase in the amount of Covid cases and the implementation of the lockdown since mid July. I have lost most of my hours at work and as a consequence, one of my major social outlets. I have become a shut in in my room. Although the weather is getting better I haven't been allowing myself to take the walks I usually do. Instead, I have been sitting on the computer, watching cases steadily increase and the chances of social interaction outside of the monitor diminish. I sit in front of it for most of the day, meaning to complete valuable coursework that I am usually interested in but instead getting lost in the endless scrolling until the time for sleep rolls around.
