Landlording is unethical (not the hottest take but hear me out) and we should significantly kneecap the industry by doing the following:

• limit all individuals to ownership of 10 properties total
• require a single individual to be listed as the owner of each home
• abolish dynamic pricing software
• strictly crack down on any kind of corporate ownership structure by taxing all profits from rentals higher than 3x the market value of the home per year at 100%

Yes this would effectively destroy the free market for real estate. No, I don’t think it’s a worse option than our current path of letting corporations yank the ladder of homeownership away from the younger generations in the name of perpetual growth.
