This was one on my list but I removed it because I didn’t want trolls to derail the thread.

But those leaks really hurt that era and his image. He was forced to release the album 3 days early to fight against it which led to only 3 days being counted for his first week sales. In those 3 days it sold 710k which were considered low for Eminem.
The total 7 day sales were 1.5M

The original most likely didn’t have tracks 10-14 which were added last minute as a replacement for these leaked tracks which were on the bonus disc

Instead of the joke tracks which ruined the streak he was on. I wonder if he would’ve been viewed different if he just said f*** it and never released those replacement tracks and left the original ones on there instead. Maybe a different route for Eminem musically

I just discovered the leak about a month ago. I haven’t felt this way about an album since I downloaded House of Balloons off of mp3skull in 2011. Then you get into how the leak sent him into a downward spiral, how so many people thought he leaked it himself cause of label issues (but there were none), to him disappearing for nearly a decade and coming back with the PI and two singles just as good as the leak. I feel like I’m stanning a new artist lol, his story is just so fascinating and I’m still not done researching it yet
