Was wondering if all cities have signature foods. I know some do, but was wondering how many of them do. It doesn’t necessarily have to be things the city invented, but it where it’s the best.
For example, NYC has bagels, chopped cheese, pizza.
For me (Buffalo) it’s obviously Wings. But there’s also lesser known ones we have like pizza logs.
I’m interested in other cities and what they specialize in
chile rellenos, sopapillas, blue crystal meth, carne adovada
Injera and other ethiopian food
/ Chicken+ Mumbo Sauce/ Steak and Cheese
DMV?
Jigg’s Dinner, toutins and salt beef. St. John’s in Canada! Don’t live there anymore though!! Pineapple crush and honorable mention lol
california burrito
AZ in PHX and Tucson - Sonoran Dogs (spanish hot dog), Tortas (mexican hamburger/sandwich thing) & eegees (a specific type of ice drink). Mexican food in general is major since we're basically part of Mexico and right next to the major USA/Mexico border.
CA Bayarea - BBQ, Chinese food & Strawberries in general while specifically in San Francisco its Seafood & in Vallejo this cheeseburger spot i can never remember the name of.
Napa Valley is technically not bayarea its right above but Wine (its a major wine vineyard place for all of USA) and Itallian food is major there and where a lot of rich people live. Shout out some my white side of the family.
