gen z is 90s-10s i just learned every album yall like is a zoomer album

gen z is like 97-07 or something like that, so very very end of 90s which could make a big difference.

someone born in 92 was 11 when GRODT dropped, whereas someone born in 97 was 5. the 11 year old will remember GRODT more than the 5 yr old, for example

I can’t help but think Zoomers are the only ones denying the power of albums & how that’s still crucial for artists these days. Albums are still very much alive

I love you but I disagree however I’m too hung over to come up with some reasons hold up

I feel like the cut off for what we consider a gen z classic’s tough, but for the benefit of the doubt l’ll say 2015- 2016, since thats usually when a lot of my peers musical nostalgia lies, when we were all entering hs and stuff lol

So many people my age look back at stuff like blond, tlop, tpab, damn, astroworld, all of lordes releases, lYRT, ALLA, etc with serious admiration for them as complete records

l feel like however w the soundcloud era being as huge as if was, artists began to release more frequently at younger and younger ages, so they havent had the time to make a release like that yet, bc they tend to throw everything out there

I feel like in a couple years when the quality control and visions more refined, gen z artists could drop some serious pressure, esp when ye for example dropped TCD at 27

    they just need some time
