Earthly life is seen as an illusion, a dream we will wake up from, just a stepping stone to eternity.

Sure but I’m saying you gotta put in work as a Muslim like praying daily, fasting, abstaining from haram things, etc. It’s not as easy as Christianity where you have to just “accept” Christ and you’re given a free pass to heaven.
