But I think Jesus might’ve been real in that time period and could have been a holy representation of the story? I dunno
Jesus was definitely a real person who got crucified for being "King of the Jews". Josephus mentioned Jesus in his writings and he was Roman/Jewish so he had reasons to deny his existence
ok the similarities between jesus' birth story and the alignment of stars to the sun cant be ignored. I always felt the bible had metaphorical elements
No way
I stan Jesus if he was really breaking Satan's ankles like this Mans doing crossovers with a bottle of Henny in his hand, Buddha could never even with his 6 arms
The Romans were Influenced by the Parthians and Mithraism
That's why easter is in spring and christians paint eggs like the parthians and romans did in spring new year celebrations which is only a few weeks before easter.
The winter solstice December 22 the sun is dead for three days and born again on the 25th

Yhup
Simply put the biblical story of Jesus has always been a sun-paralleled retelling of an ancient cult of personality who actually existed but without the supernatural stuff ofc
The sun-parallel retelling was the leading archetype for spreading the stories of virtuous leaders in ancient times
Hell even Superman (a fictional allegory for Moses originally then Jesus) gets his powers from the Sun
nihilism
Buddhism is definitely not nihilism, that’s a common misconception amongst westerners
But yeah the Bible is filled with metaphors
never understood how ppl could read these stories & just believe them off face value

see my post on page 3
I love the concept of a sun god ngl
Even scientifically I can get along with this idea.
Without the sun we wouldnt be alive. During the time we exist it is completely unchanged while we revolve in cycles around it. And eventually it will consume us and destroy earth.
Beautiful concept just like the Moon tbh

I seen it
Buddha taught the “Middle Way” a path that stayed clear from extremes including the extremes of thought. The underlining concepts of Eternalism & Nihilism are two extremes he spoke out against
