I see so many threads about the 'Big 3' and people talking about rappers not having any lasting power or 'wow factor' these days...
So, what would change that for you? Is there something you're looking for in artists that they aren't delivering?
Those 'Big 3' threads were stupid.
Mach-Hommy and Navy Blue just dropped this weekend, enjoy the greatness.
i'm just looking for some good s*** man
The era of superstars are over tbh Travis will be the last one
travis aint a superstar
Personally, I'd love to see upcoming artists focus a little more on a cohesive and engaging full-length project. It seems a lot of albums these days are just compilations of hit single attempts. The songs all follow a similar formula and tone. Everything is so clearly an attempt to get hella streams. If you listen to a lot of classic albums, they had what we call 'deep cuts', right? Slower songs where they get a little more personal or experiment a little more. They know its not gonna be a radio hit, but they wanna flex that artistry. I miss that
Rappers bringing in their A-game, the fact that Off Season was damn good brings me hope
A new, totally unknown artist to take over and bring back that feeling....
I got a feeling it's going to happen
lies
Maybe baby and Roddy but let’s be real, music is way more accessible these days so there’s more niches and s*** for people to explore, no universally liked artists anymore
Tbh if we talking that wow factors it’s Roddy, people are still talking about him and anticipating new music

We talking straight numbers those are stars, Roddy already got 1 no 1 hits like 2 years into his career so there’s that

do you understand numbers don't make you a star
