More music, better music, better work ethic, bigger songs, more accomplishments and he’s biracial (like me)

I don’t even like drake like that but he is the actual greatest to ever do it

I listen to all of Kendrick’s music more than Drake, but I get Drake’s repertoire and depth as an artist. I got Cole over both of them tho

People are probably gonna hate me for saying this but I feel like with Kendrick you either get extremely storyline driven albums or stuff like DAMN that's more radio friendly

If he made stuff like this that had strong subject matter but was also extremely replayable I think I would play him way more, just IMO. I still think he has room to find that balance.

drake fanbase sucks too but at least you know they really f*** with his music, you have a lot of people pretending kendrick is the messiah or some bullshit and most of the time they dont even listen to the music that much, they pretend his s*** is the best off metacritic and pitchfork scores

You don’t think it’s ppl that connect with songs like auntie diaries, Father Time, feel, u etc?

TPAB feels like a commitment sometimes to listen to, GKMC is a movie everytime I listen to it though and still one of his most replayable albums imo

The Big Steppers is pretty good with balancing the concept with replayability too

The Drake and Kendrick comparisons are so odd. They do not make the same music so a fan of either artist clearly has different taste because both artists on are the opposite side of the spectrum.

Drake is clearly focused on hit making and being sonically versatile and being petty and relevant. And that's what makes him dope.

Kendrick is clearly more topically focused with his music and his albums all have some sort of theme and there is much more depth to his music.

How can you compare an artist that covets being at the top of billboard charts and on IG everyday versus an artist who doesn't care about the accolades and is a god damn ghost?

That’s all good but by this logic we gotta say that the Macarena and Cha Cha Slide is the best songs of all time

The whole “memories with friends makes the music better” is drake propaganda/ovo cope for the product not being good enough on its own merit, if you gotta be drunk and with people to enjoy it then it’s not that great

And the same is true for music that you have to try and force yourself to understand

The real greats of rap like Jay, Nas, Pac, Big, Scarface for just some easy examples, can give you both sides of the coin, it’s not just dumb music to play around women, but it’s also not just s*** to listen to in your room and think about, you can do either and it’s more enjoyable.

Both drake and Kendrick started their careers with balance but devolved into being “half artists”
