I've never looked into his solo stuff, will definitely give it a shot now, always cool to see someone rank an artist so highly who you didn't expect, makes you realise you might not have been paying enough attention to them
The diary by Scarface classic album

Let’s just say he takes more time off than drake
also man doesn’t get on enough features as well
I do agree he doesnt do enough features
He’s better!
He’s better.
I value lyricism and content over braggadocious raps.....I like both, but that's pretty much the only reason
EDIT: Wait....how is Drake more relatable than Kendrick? You gotta be upper middle class suburban to feel that way
You can tell he doesn't actually listen to his music because you're barely scratching the surface here. Drake might be the most versatile rapper in the genre's history. That's a skill Kendrick doesn't have
Drake hasn’t made a song that really hits hard emotionally beyond some breakup s*** since Too Much. He stopped using that skill

There have been a few but they are rare for sure

Drake was relatable in the Marvin's Room days, but the whole cold blooded sociopath with mob ties and opps around every corner shtick (boneless mafioso Jay) kind of deaded that

Better than gkmc? That’s tough
Is it better than ready to die is a better comparison but I’m not mad at ur take
Eh, you could say that but GKMC is one of my top 5 most played albums of all time across all genres. I can talk s*** here for discussions but Kendrick doesn't need to do what Drake does because only Drake can do it that effortlessly and ditto for Drake trying to do what Kendrick does. Artistically, they couldn't be more different. Anybody not listening to one because of the other is only playing themselves.
Debates like this were interesting 10 years ago but these days, they're boring to me. They're both hall of famers who have done more than enough to prove themselves. Yes, I'd like it if Kendrick dropped more music but he doesn't have to and neither does Drake, which is why it's unfortunate that many people don't appreciate his consistency throughout his career. Maybe when he retires they will.
What I said wasn’t that deep i listen to Kendrick too

Hot take but The Diary>>>>Ready to Die>>>>GKMC (these are huge gaps between each)
The Diary is 42 minutes no skips, the other two are overly long and much harder to sit through with skits (still classic but it’s levels to classic)

Still kind of irks me when y’all make the pretentious point cause why cause his songs happen to be sociopolitical?
Well I don't place him over Kendrick but I do appreciate his consistency throughout his career especially this decade
