obviously it's your money do whatever you want to. If you feel that there is something on your body that is bothering you and you want to get it tucked, made bigger, made smaller, changed completely, you should be able to do so and not feel shunned or judged for...well doing so.

At the same time, it's kinda funny we push this "love yourself" mantra while at the same time we push these images of what a "perfect body" looks like to these impressionable teens. To the point you got workout/fitness influencers that aren't even honest about their weight loss journey not being natty and actually involving some under the knife stuff. That s*** eats away at people's confidence.

The latter is definitely a symptom of social media but as a black person it stings when a lot of us already have pre-existing conditions that we again ignore as this drives those people to dangerous cosmetic procedures that often than not puts us at risk of side effects or even death (e.g. Donda, JackyOh) versus if they was still here if someone had told them "hey, you just had a baby, you're gonna have some flab and that's ok you are still a person" or "don't pay to play with them brazilians just get a gym membership" y'know?

Ngl more often than not the facial surgeries age em up if not make em look crazy

A lot of people don’t think about the upkeep in the long run after surgeries and so many people end up f***ed after getting inspiration from those with the money to do so (and they’ll still look off regardless).

There’s something beautiful about the aging process, and it saddens me that so many people are fighting so hard against what’s always been a natural aspect of life for everyone.
