Isaiah Rashad, I feel the novelty and specialty of his music wore off after his blowup around The House Is Burning era. Adding fuel to the fire, the music got worse and bored the hell out of me.
On the other hand, Skeme is the replacement for this man’s music in my personal library. Both do mumble rap but Skeme’s music has more oomph and energy overall. Need him to drop another album, been long overdue.
Fleetwood mac! I loved them when they were underground but as soon as they blew up with stupid zoomers (thanks TikTok🤦♂️) I had to stop listening to them

I want my artists to eat & and one of the things I want is for more people to like & listen to them
I was very early on Kendrick, Rocky & Chance - klep, purple swag music video before anything else & 10day and i loved it when they blew up
I was very early on James Blake too the Self Titled album of 2011 when I was in high school and I was one of the main ones singing his praises on ktt1
He finally got the respect with the least few years
i dont see how you can not like music because its too popular lol, corny behaviour tbh
just say you grew out of it, the popularity of an artist doesnt change the music that you already liked
Cole was probably my favorite rapper until the unironic deep/intelligence takes started becoming a thing. It wasn’t solely because he got too popular, but the conversation around him grew, went in a direction I didn’t really like… and as a result I kinda just lost interest in his music.

The tiktok man had nothing to do with this he’s my friend
i'm sorry but u lame if u let popularity get in the way of how good the music is, especially if u an OG - type of fans are y'all?
I was fully persuaded to never get into brockhampton kind of because this
I had a f***head roomate like 4 years younger than me when they blew up and was so annoying about them so I checked out like 2 songs and said ofc this f*** loves this
I did enjoy a lot of solo work of the boyer guy I guess
