As a big Wayne Stan, I'll contend that Wayne and Kendrick are " Yin and Yang" as far as careers goes and whoever is better will ultimately depend on your preference.

Wayne always loved to feed his fans no matter the circumstance and he's a raw spitter with wordplay and a feature king with amazing verses and impactful mixtapes. He also had a top 5 highest popularity peak in rap.

But Wayne had very little quality control when it comes to his music which hurts him to a degree.

Kendrick is a calculated perfectionist with strong quality control who takes his time. And he's more of a storyteller and poet than a raw spitter with mind blowing bars. And his features are very hit or miss. And Kendrick peaked in 2017 but was never truly dominant.

So it really depends on your preference tbh. Wayne's my number 1 tied with Nas but Kendricks top 10 to me with the 3rd best catalog after Ye/Kast.
