I am kind of slow but can you explain the title ? What can we do to unite rather than divide or be distracted by petty differences?

yes in a way. Coorperations/ entertainment industry or even politicians love using controverse themes in order to spark debates that have little impact or anything to do with the actual problem laying in the background.

F.e. having a female/black/lgbt protagonist usually sparks controversy but doesnt really tackle any of the issues these groups face.

Now what I am curious. What can I do against it

I guess writers, showrunners and more that reflect that so we think and operate outside of identity politics or pamphlets
