Who the best London drill artist rn. Roundz is hard

    yeah I like roundz too

he's not from London and he doesn't always make drill but you should check out Pa Salieu.

His songs like Frontline and Dem A Lie are crazy He's from Cov so if you're cool with the London accent then you'll be cool with it, it's not like listening to Meekz or anything.

I'm a bit of touch with what's hot rn cos of not going out atm

That's cos the UK just one constant classic

Tbh I'm just biased cos I'm in London so it just sounds like home. I don't think there's an actual classic project from the UK tbh with you like there is with Grime (boy in da corner) so you're probably right.

Some people would count one of the early Giggs projects as that classic but idk if it can really count because the production isn't really drill. Like the biggest Giggs song from that era is a Dre beat

What's the most lauded drill album? I know my UK connect was hyping Headie One's last project. I gave it a look.

OP is so stupid for not giving Chicago its credit smh out here talmbout pop smoke and s***

  • Jul 3, 2020

just because that nigga died doesn’t mean he’s THAT good or “GOAT” as you said f***ing dumbass

did he mean the EP or the last album? Headie One's last EP is really interesting. It's clearly influenced by drill (the bass and other stuff) but then he's doing things like getting FKA Twigs (also on that new song with Ty/Ye if you don't know her stuff) to sing over bending 808s and s*** like that. It's got Jamie XX on it too. And he's singing in places with some pretty interesting vocal production.

I definitely think people gotta give him credit rn for being able to drop some of the biggest drill songs in the UK and then do an EP like that in the same year. Just getting FKA Twigs and Jamie XX on your project is pretty mad for a drill artist tbh

Maybe your guy meant his solo projects. That was a collab EP.

The last solo full length project had a few hits on it. Like Both which flipped that old Ultra Nate song and 18hunna with Dave. Plus back to basics with Skepta. I thought that album had some really good beats on it, although still some fillers

He definitely meant Gang but idk if he gets down with straight drill like that. Makes sense he'd enjoy it. Any clue if Dutchavelli has something underway? He seems like the guy of the moment.

I just check the music when it comes out so don't follow it enough to know.

I'm sure it will be good but tbh Stormzy ruined that new Dutchavelli song for me He dropped a song with M Huncho for the GRM Daily 10 project since then tho which I liked.

Yeah, I've given the Huncho one some plays. Hope these scenes can make some real projects. It's a better foundation for a wave than a bunch of hot loosies.

for sure I guess sometimes they don't get the support they need for projects so can take a lot to work up to.
