Hated WLR at first but it’s easily become one of my top projects of the last 5 years.
Really into the aggressive rockstar/punk aesthetic.
What direction do you think/want it to take going forward?
More songs like Rockstar Made?
Songs like piss on your grave?
Also feel free to drop recommendations or different artists that are similar to that style
Piss On Your Grave was awful so hopefully nothing like that ever again
There will never be another WLR-style album again
To be honest, none.
Most of that s*** is absolute garbage
What happened to "good vibes only"

This
No other rapper has it in them to make an album like WLR
Jimi Hendrix guitar solo samples with Kid Cudi humming in the background and Playboi Carti + Thugga aggressively flowing on a track
Need the resurgence of the soulful sound (again) in hip hop again if anything

Just referencing Last Call bro but I’m not with this Playboy Carti s*** just ain’t for me I’d much rather people go back to backpack rapping or talking bout something real
Team up with an actual band or guitarist like The Roots, The Gorillaz, or Thundercat.
I’d rather hear rock drums than have rappers sing like blink182 over omnisphere guitars and 808s
WLR is the perfect rockstar rap record so im cool with it being where it's at rn. that being said if it were to evolve, maybe producers could start speeding up the tempos of the songs and make that s*** sound like a black flag or bad brains record

I respect that but I’d rather crawl naked across broken glass and hot coal than listen to backpack rap like Aesop rock or immortal technique 🤷🏾♂️

Nah I feel different strokes for different folks. I guess there’s a fine line between making music people can vibe to and enjoy and saying something of substance
@op i wouldn't mind hearing something like this(except not as edgy as peggy)
