this is another case of people thinking "i like it" = "it's important"
if its important to you then maybe its important to someone else
and at this point we live in such a splintered off society that sharing those things you find important probably has more value than it did 10-15 yrs ago
clipse - let god sort em out

I dont know the first album but I wouldnt say the others were most important level other than Doechiis
Depends on what angle you’re looking at it, but it feels like UVST is the more “important” album here when it comes to Spanish-language music being such an accepted, massive force in the U.S. music scene (by the masses, I know Benito’s been big since 2017).
I also know DtMF is very explicit on Puerto Rican political efforts, which is super important in its own light.
mf be talking that talk and having a real stance as a superstar which is extremely admirable
MMATBS is up there
i mean lyrically probably yes but held back by a lot of dated sounding production and this hurt it immensely
i love it but people dont revisit it because its a very very dark project bar count me out and mother i sober
bk the ruler!!!!!!!!
yes!!!!! x10000000
that project front to back is insane
i did not play a tape like that since the first sahbabii joint or gunna ds3
donda was important culturally at the time but nothing on that entire album speaks longevity and impact, minus like 24 and come to life a lot of it was trend hopping

Even tho I hate Playboi Carti it seems WLR is the one unless you wanna argue important ≠ influence

Yeah I think we’re just beginning to see the results of her influence on the younger female rappers coming up

honestly he was giving classic ye in terms of relatability/humor content wise and production wise he was in his bag rather in terms of the sound scape than emulating other artists sounds and maybe adapting popular bounces/bpms but everyone does that
there's a run of songs on there starting from never abandon your family that to me are as well written and genuine as some of his earlier stuff and hits a soft spot for me

for sure & wish her nothing but the best she's so special as an artist
If this is the case then I need the future of the rap game to sound like Matt Proxy, Dragnutz, and some Aquillacore
notttttt mad at this
Drake is many things
An underdog is not one of them
what would you consider him at this point in his career?
