she says "heaven or las vegas"
I read somewhere she sings in a combination of English, French, Gaelic, and gibberish. Some of Cocteau's Twins' later albums, like Four-Calendar Cafe, have more discernable lyrics.
Idk but the first time I heard it at night doing my usual block, I was about ready to ascend lol

Four Calendar Cafe is really really good
Four Calendar Cafe is really really good
Absolutely. Really became one of my favorites from them recently.
chorus:
Singing on the famous street
I want to love a boy that won't love me
Am I just in heaven or Las Vegas
That's why it is more brighter than the sun is to me
2nd chorus:
Singing on the famous street
I want to love a boy that won't love me
Am I just in heaven or Las Vegas
That's why it is more brighter than the sun is to me
Reaching this itch in my soul
That's like any old playing card
It must be why I'm thinking of Las Vegas
Why it's more brighter than the sun is to me
Absolutely. Really became one of my favorites from them recently.

the song Heaven or Las Vegas actually isn't too hard to make out what she's saying
now finding meaning it can be the hard part lol
I think having abstract or nonconcrete lyrics is underrated
Like Linkin park, they're jus talking about these scenarios that most people can't relate to metaphorically but that s*** slaps
