I wish we got more from Jeremy Rose/Zodiac
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITrhu0EprDQHell yeah pal, Jeremy is the OG, I'm fiending for a Lorde-esque album by them two (Lorde for her albums has a habit where on each album she only worked with her ONE producer, so it's only two people working on the album, making it a more personal body of work)

the morning be bumpin
I know he made the entirety of What You Need, but what else?
I believe Zodiac is the reason we got the best Weeknd albums. He gave life to "The Weeknd" most of us fans know and love
Interview circa 2012 (link below):
"When you two first met, was Abel’s creative direction heading in the same direction it has been over the past year?"
No. When I met him I heard some of the stuff that he was doing. It was called the Noise. Remember that? It came out after he broke. It was this group, with him and another producer and it was called the Noise. They were a straight kind of R&B, just really light and kind of candlelight… sings “I wanna see you in your birthday suit”… And I was just like, “Aw, f*** that s***. No man, let’s talk about, f***in’ and getting too high and trying to f*** b****es and it not working out. Let’s get really grimy about it."

I believe dude claims to have came up with the whole persona of "The Weeknd"
He did , the whole Weeknd image was hijacked by Abel
But he’s popular as hell and makes good music so no one cares including myself
I wish we got more from Jeremy Rose/Zodiac
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITrhu0EprDQhahaha nice, never knew mac miller sampled this (0:24)
!
but forreal, dude was a great producer, it's a damn shame he retired
this was always my favorite beat of his
people give him way too much credit. he did the early/worse versions of The Morning, What you Need, and the party
what you need's the worst track on HoB change my mind
what you need a f***in slap but i guess it is the weakest in the tracklist huh
he'll always be a legend for this. sampled on drake's wutang forever
what you need a f***in slap but i guess it is the weakest in the tracklist huh
yea it's def a good debut track but in context of HoB it's a snoozer

i’ll agree w that, but hob has high for this, hob/gtg, wicked games, tpatap, loft music there’s bound be at least 1 track on there that can’t compete with the high moments of that tape

this is a valid point, abel before jeremy rose was pretty awful, he definitely did tilt the direction of the music. idk how much, but we will never actually know
According to him The Weeknd did not have his edge dark sound before him.
I think he helped develop the early stage of The Weeknd.
Then The Weeknd got to work with other producers and choose them over him and he got mad
I know he made the entirety of What You Need, but what else?
In my book that’s enough
