they just lost a lot of momentum overtime and their music together started sounding uninspired, which we now know is cause they all hated each other eventually lol

T.O's music just got way worse, i honestly don't even like talking badly about artists on here espc him bc he's a bay legend but just compare a solo song from 2017 (take blame em or omm for ex.) vs a 2022 song. also he is super obsessed with being solid/real, which i'm not gonna criticize, but seems to have def burned many bridges for him & lead to stuff like a collab album w pacman da gunman. also he was in label hell for his solo stuff

Videos like this one really show that hip-hop needs better media representation. We got interviewers who constantly interrupt their guests with opinions and anecdotes, “street”historians with no connection to the life and glorify trauma, pretentious reviewers and publications like XXL that are pretty much irrelevant. The story of SOB could’ve been told so much better. The narrator sounded dull af and the editing wasn’t anything to write home about. I’m really rambling but I just want to see the culture treated with more respect and not just leveraged for a come up or brownie points

The West Coast street rap scene took so many losses man. I feel like the Detroit/Flint became the new big thing. The sob and shoreline breakup, yatta, ssg jojo, 03 and the stinc team getting locked up, Nipsey passing way too young when he was finally getting mainstream attention, the dumbass mozzy and Philthy rich beef and more recently bris going way too young, that dude would’ve made it big. Shoutout Roddy ricch for carrying the west coast on his shoulders & tyga for his redemption arc
