Doesn’t Korea have girl groups?
That Kpop stuff is propaganda by the Korean government. Look it up
the real answer to this is that it's incredibly expensive to maintain a girl group and the return on the investment isn't really there anymore
it's easier to just push the acts as solo artist and hope they catch a couple hits
They don't get supported
They don't have good enough writers
They aren't good writers themselves
Whole bunch of reasons
I recently went through a r&b girl group rabbit hole on youtube and it made me realize just how dead the genre is
Doesn’t Korea have girl groups?
They not doing anything interesting over there besides regurgitating s*** America did in the previous decades so most people dont count them 🤷🏿♂️
Money, Production, Record Deals. Talent not having vocal ranges like in times past. Singers either sound hazy and weeded out or they have that folkish, guitar vibe over some reverbed kicks and snares.
Blame it on the industry, not the talent imo.
Y’all won’t show Chloe & Halle the love they deserve
They already tryna break them up smh
K pop =/= music
US market don't seem to care much for groups like they used to. Korea got groups in general locked up pretty easily
Would be cool to have em again it was nice to see solo artists eventually launch from groups too. Inevitable drama at some point tho
Fifth Harmony had next but squandered it.
I'm still steady waiting on Lauren Jauregui's first project. Every single amazing but it's been so long.
Post your favorite girl groups y'all
the ronettes
There’s that one pop punk industry plant group I saw Fantano do a vid on
I remember this. Them girls was fuming on Twitter lol
The concept of groups outside of boy bands just seems dead in general. Like rap collectives all that s***
