First off f*** Macklemore, second off lot of people talkin out of their ass with regards to his career. I highly doubt the kendrick s*** made a difference. Macklemores text was a precursor to so much of the white guilt bullshit that’s all around rn. ALSO someone said he tried to pander and go woke, he was definitely on some quasi woke s*** his whole career. Not that i f*** with him. And really, i never f***ed with him and not cause he was white, because his music is generic derivative bullshit. On the topic of him having a song with kaz and kool moe dee being for the culture, i’d say yeah it really is and people are so confused about, well, he’s white so nothing he does with “black culture” can be good 🤢🤮 that attitude f***ing sucks. Gkmc is an average corporate product album delivered by a manufactured generic and derivative watered down version of guys like mos def and many more, and yeezus was a better album even in the scenario that kendrick is all he is hyped to be.
