  • Basically, I watched the TV show "The Rap Game" for the first time last year. It was a show in which Jermaine Dupri invited 5 young rappers to compete for a So So Def chain and contract (it ended up not being a real contract, the winner usually just got one single promoted by So So Def). Latto was the season 1 winner, while Mani won season 2 (J.I the Prince of NY became more popular over time), and Nova won season 3.

After he won, it seemed like he had the potential to blow up and be a star. He had the ability, an uncle who is a rapper named Ekko from the Pennsylvania rap scene who helped Nova grow as an artist, and an indie label. But he had a really bad decline once he was diagnosed with schizophrenia, which is understandable as mental health is no joke.

I made this thread more-so to highlight how talented he was/is and show how he had a lot of potential and great songs but had to prioritize his mental health first after the diagnosis and the momentum slowed down. He coulda been a GOAT if he kept going on the trajectory he was.
