Get where you’re coming from but the portion of society you’re referring to is absolutely huge, and large scale deaths amongst that population would almost certainly be directly felt by every family unit, if not every individual.
The extent to which the country gets going again is the key thing to me, I can understand trying to safely manage the reopening of key infrastructure but can you really say that getting relatively meaningless consumer outlets back open to stimulate the economy outweighs the need to keep people safe?
