    Mystical weird stuff
Go to church and read the Bible

    Pick one

there's nothing mystical or weird about going to Church and reading The Bible

The Bible is the most straightforward and honest book ever written....it's the people that make it complicated

I didnt say you do but once you acknowledge God's presence in your life all the do-gooders that ''are looking out for you'' will try to plant their seeds of know-it-all spirituality in you

you think praying works? good keep doing what you do

but if you're looking for any sort of guidance dont look in the wrong places...look for it in the Bible and the Church

that's why I said simplicity is key....both the Bible and The Christian church have endured the test of time no matter the era, wars, politics and persecution so let me humbly say that both of em are more worthy of your time and energy than a random guy like me on a forum

I get what you’re saying now. I assume you are devout and attend weekly. Call me a sinner but I prefer to just keep god with me and keep a Bible. What is the preacher saying that is not in the Bible? But to each they’re own

Church has the Holy Communion and Confessions

I could quote literaly countless teachings of wisdom that came from The Saints which used to be priests...so many that I dont even know where to begin

but to give you a starting point I'll say that things like fasting twice a week and the ''our father who art in heaven'' prayer were given by Jesus Christ directly to his apostles(as mentioned in the Bible) which they then gave to their disciples...and they gave it to our Saints and our Saints to the church and its priests ALL through Jesus' authority under the Holy Spirit

^thats what you get from churches

note: in my faith we also worship and love Mary dearly as she is the treasure chest between us and the Son of God

    btw I'm Orthodox
