love for the game pure and simple. you can see how everything has become a product to be sold. and of course when it was selling hand over fist it felt good but now that the spotlight largely is not on hip hop anymore you can see how few people aside from fans truly ride for rap
Reading this thread and realizing all these points made applies to literally music as a whole lol
I hate it here

rap has become too big for its own good, creatively speaking, oversaturation was inevitable... copycat syndrome and algorithm driven music has led to tons of disposable garbage, it's like listening to the same artist 50 times, the mainstream has become a terrible safe zone... also you got tons of youngins who simply didn't study the game enough and you can tell they are in it for all the wrong reasons
I still hope it's a transitional phase and I'd be fine with other genres taking over again, right now much of the interesting stuff in rap is happening outside the mainstream, it's clear that the genre needs to become less monetary driven again to have a resurgence
Authenticity
Everyone is afraid to just be themselves and would rather be a stereotype or a meme

Game fell off when they became irrelevant. That’s how we got Drake Cole and Dot as the big 3 for 15 years with little glimmers of new guys in between.
