everything else might be considered "better" from an objective music perspective but is lowkey boring at the end of the day and wont be remembered much.

case in point: both Tyler and J Cole's album

As I said, 21 tracks and not a single bad one among them. The majority of the songs are really really good, It got insane replay value (more replay value than Donda) and it sold a whoopin 613K first week. Sure, not album of the year or Drake's best work, but I never seen anyone who's serious about it say that it's bad.

So you base AOTY off of popularity and not musical content? Interesting.

fr lmao, silk sonic got to be the most boring album I've heard in a long time. Not talking about the quality of the music cuz it's not bad but damn it's not something I ever want to listen to again
