Everybody - Logic
Gonna rant about this for a minute...
First of all the cover is already pretentious as s*** look at this, it's like some futuristic last supper and he even did a lil "teaser" where this album is presented at a future museum... Like this delusional f*** really thought this was a classic? And every song title is cringey (looks like a fake tracklist).
Second of all the concept is really stupid, so the story about this album is that this guy dies and he meets God (Neil Degrasse Tyson of all people) who explains to him that basically every person is the same person living everybody's life. That's just stupid and doesn't mean anything. Also did they have to play it out with long ass skits and monologues? So boring and kills the vibe.
The songs themselves aren't that bad when it comes to like, production and flow, I mean it's not even the worst Logic album probably, it's just the dude's IDEAS and lyrical content that ruins everything. This man lyrics have literally nothing to do with the skits and the album's concept, it's just about being half black half white, that's it, that's all he talks about all the time in this album and it's so corny and boring.
1-800-273-8255 is the best song, it's corny as s*** but at least it's actually about "everybody" and tries to have a positive message. Ofc a few minutes Juicy J said on the same album "NI*** KILL YOURSELF!!" so clearly Logic cares a lot about suicide...
So this is an album that tries to be political, woke, artistic without having actual depth and vision. He just biting everything that moves while writing in the corniest way possible, cherry on top is he had J. Cole, his idol, in the outro, he dropped the best verse on the album and he prolly just recorded this on his phone. Hilarious.
So no Logic, you didn't make a To Pimp a Butterfly, even though you REALLY tried:
So yeah this is the album I hate the most.
alki can suck a d*** for this. Took some snippets fans have been waiting for YEARS for like Soldier and turned them into weird ass techno beats. Keef was so embarassed he didn't even post it on social media once lmaoooo
Yeah this actually had some gems but I hate what Alki did to Soldier
stronger than i was is nice
I swear that was the worst song ever. Is that the one where he sings about his ex wife?
For me, it was Scorpion. It forced me to realize that Drake is a singles artist, and I shouldn't expect a concise album from him. RIP old Drake. 2010-2015 Drake is the greatest form of a hip hop artist ever
Scorpion
Drake is one of my most listened to artists ever and I can't listen to that album outside of NFW, Summer Games and the Jay feature on Talk Up. I think it's one of the biggest disappointments of the decade and only shows how Drake's attempt to bag sales numbers by making the most generic songs possible is hurting his art.
Also Jesus is King
I never thought there'd be a Kanye album that could come out where I listened to the whole thing once and never again, not even a single
none bc i could never actively hate an album if i don’t like it i won’t listen to it and forget about it
I can’t stand hearing acid rap or pretty much any mid-early odd future era music
I never listened to it enough to hate it that much but born sinner was really bad
