Let’s Go Crazy changed my life, favorite opener to any album ever

Take Me With U makes me want to float away

The Beautiful Ones was the first song I ever cried to

Second half of Computer Blue is the pinnacle of dark 80s synth dance music

When I first listened to this album I quoted Darling Nikki to my “girlfriend” at the time over kik (I was 12) and her cousin started spazzin on me

My dad used to play When Doves Cry on REPEAT every damn day for this period when I was like 6 and would go to work with him

I would die 4 u has one of my favorite bassline + drum patterns in any song, plus I love the way it leads into

Baby I’m A Star, plus those breakdowns toward the end are immaculate

A situation back in the summer was pretty much perfectly described in the song Purple Rain, which is when I realized the absolute beauty of peak pop music. It feels so specific but it reveals how much we all fall into the same situations

don’t even have to sum up how I feel about this 9 track album
