Tampa Club

Both’ll get u up and dancing but if u had to make a good a***ogy I’d say Miami = ecstasy and Tampa = weed when it comes to Jook if that makes sense
It did blow up in like 2011, just mostly in the UK. Planet Mu was releasing compilations of Chicago artists and every major UK producer in the Bass scene was releasing footwork tracks ie Kode9, Addison Groove, Ramadanman, etc etc. Rashad was signed to Hyperdub and they were almost exclusively pushing highly footwork influenced stuff for a couple years there. Since traditional dubstep died, and anybody still on that tip retreated to making boring dungeon music, footwork and Swamp81 style house were the primary sounds for a few years there in the aftermath.
haha yeah no dude, i know all of this. but what i meant was i thought it was gonna get even bigger than that because so much of the pop music of the time was starting to use flavors from it and machinedrum was becoming more and more popular + finding a ton of placements on peoples records
(and also no i don't think machinedrum is real footwork but i do think he bit the sound and got really popular from it and at the time people wouldn't hate on you for saying vaporcity was a footwork record)
