Master P is almost never brought up when talking about the greats, even though his impact on hip hop is profound in so many ways.

    kinda baller actually

better than the s. carter sneaker

  • May 23, 2020

Doesn’t get talked or pushed like that cause he never had that many industry ties and he wasn’t industry. There will probably never be another Master P especially nowadays cause no one really has that get it outta the mud hustler mentality anymore.

  • May 23, 2020

his music is better than some suggest imo

but him along with e-40 paved the way for indie Rap & making real grassroots go global

he's not an as big of a name to the reg nowadays (even tho he was f***ing huge back then), but those that really know Rap or have been in it heavy know & respect his impact & achievements

Legendary in and out of rap

  • May 23, 2020

    Yes he's a legend..

His record deal is basically the equivalent of winning the power ball, something that will never be done again. He also put in a lot of work to help his label take off..

But lets not forget how he lost hundreds of millions of dollars, ripped off his own artists including owning their publishing, was only really relevant for about 3 years and over saturated everything. And No he's not some super genius business man for the last 20 years.
