Last year I was helping out my coworker cold approach women and help him get laid, I was his wingman giving advice and stuff. At end of these activities, I purchased him food as a reward every time and we did this couple of times every month. At last he scored a date with a decent chick and I was very happy to see him improve socializing with women.

This same guy threw party earlier this year and didn't even bother inviting me, like wow no thank you nothing and lack of showing appreciation. Nevertheless I cut him off and didn't look back, I hate people who just use me

Yeah f*** that guy, sounds like he was just using you. Unless it was an incredibly private party with a small handful of people, an invite is pretty basic courtesy in your situation IMO.

Here's my story:

For my 9th birthday, I planned a thing at my place with a couple of my friends, the time was set, I knew who was coming, etc. Went to church with my parents, came back to a couple voicemails. Both of them ditched me, never got a solid reason why, and I don't think I ever spoke to either of them again. Ended up just going to the movies.

To this day, I still worry that the people I'm friends with don't actually give a s*** about me.

Had a friend who i cut off like a month ago now due to him being a wasteman alcoholic

Offered him help thousands of times over the years but dude would just come up with some lame excuse every time

Got to a point where everytime I went over to his house he was drunk, loud and extremely rude, disrespectful and obnoxious as hell so I basically said to him let me help you now or I'm cutting you off

He agreed so I said next time I come round we'll get this s*** sorted

Anyways I come round to his the next day and of course he's drunk, I didnt even step in the house just 180'd it and left, he tried calling me back but I just ignored him

Blocked him on every social media on the way back so he wouldnt message me again

F*** him, I offered this dude help countless times over the years bc I cared about him and each time he threw it back in my face, sucks bc we were pretty much best friends since we were 13 years old and now I had to cut him off at 23

i understand cutting him off but damn he probably struggling with some demons

not always easy to get those type of people to cooperate

I get that and I tried so hard for him for literally years bro but I cant help someone who doesnt want to help themselves, I wish him all the best and hope he gets the help he needs but it was getting to the point where it was all starting to affect me as well

too many to mention tbh

usually amounts to people not hitting me back or putting in the same effort to keep up a friendship. made me realize that the friendships were more based on convenience and proximity than a real bond
