I was thinking if he dropped a pure rapping album with type of beats he is familiar with like GNX to show he is still a great rapper would be dope but i guess everybody would call him names everytime he calls himself the best rapper etc.

If he drops another genre of album people would say stuff like jendrick ran him off

I honestly think he should drop something like iytrtitl 2 to show he is elite at anything then proceed to drop something unique and classic material

The best move for him perception-wise would be to drop an album that is focused sonically. It doesn’t have to be all-rap, but we don’t need a Latin song for track 17 and a dancehall song for track 21 sandwiched between two underwater R&B songs

Give us an album that sounds like there was intention behind it

Drake used to bring something different to the table.

I think:

• sonically focused
• less random beat switches that make it feel unfinished
• more diverse content than just “I’m so rich how could she not want me?” Or “I’ll see you boys soon my guys will do you dirty” type s***
• keep it short, 15-20 songs don’t need to make everyone happy
• mix rapping with melodies. That’s always been drakes strength. There’s no point to prove you’re fine.

Just a cohesive rap album with some R&B cuts that's not bloated.

With a concept he actually sticks with and doesn't abandon like FATD.

Holy f***. You just made me look up Nokia's streams and it still didn't hit 500 million yet despite the song being out for basically 9 months now.

That's crazy for Drake standards, esp. since the song got played on pop radio and had a viral hook(s/o to Elkan) and dance to it.

And WDIM didn't dominate as much as people thought either even though it's still a memeable song and the best Iceman release to date.

Honestly, Drake needs to just cut off every song he dropped so far and regroup which I think he's already doing if we go off of Gordo.

Cause that Yeat song and the song where he raps "soul free" twice were ass. I lowkey think GNX's success and acclaim has made him very insecure as well since he knows his solo album is going to get compared to it post beef.
