Are you mainly looking to just relax at a beach resort, party or sightsee/immerse yourself in the culture
Immerse myself in the culture/environment. Cheap place to sleep and just go out exploring all day, end the day at a dope bar and go again the next day.

i like to sightsee and experience cultures and environments if that includes partying then that’s extra. best trips are when i link with a friend living somewhere else and they show me around
First time i went overseas with my girl i was most definitely a relaxer. First day i aint even go nowhere i just stayed in and slept, but thats cuz i was goin thru it with work and family s***
Second day i was a mess cuz i never been out abroad by myself before, and i kinda fumbled through the day.
Third day i was on my bullshit
I like a kind of casual experience where I play it by ear and experience the local culture without over-planning, and exchange tourist-y sightseeing or areas for more out of the way local places/experiences I find organically
Time traveler
I like to immerse myself as much as possible in whatever people there usually do. I want to feel like I really experienced the place, not just the touristy s***. And yeah, I'll go out and party and hopefully meet some new people.
The annoying American
When I was younger, it was all about sightseeing/museums/art, experiencing a new country for the first time
But as I’ve gotten older, and have already done all that numerous times in numerous countries, it’s now about relaxation..Staying away from tourists..Good food..Peace and quiet

Both are good times but I prefer traveling to cities/towns over resorts and beaches.
I used to feel like if you been to one beach you’ve been to them all. Like there wasn’t a difference between sunbathing in the Bahamas vs sunbathing in puerto Vallarta.
I’ve matured out of that way of thinking and I see the appeal of a nice and relaxing getaway especially with a significant other. They all feel unique to me now and each trip is special.
Nothing beats traveling to a real city and taking in the sights and sounds tho. I’m born and raised in NYC which is the mecca and I love comparing other places to my home city. Lets me see what makes my place special and what makes other places special.
Some of my best memories are me just in a foreign city by myself with no itinerary. Exploring and taking everything in. People watching, checking out stores, attractions, landmarks, etc.
Even when I travel with friends or family I always make sure I get at least one day where I go out on my own and do my own thing.
I like to sightsee, go see what the culture is looking like. Gotta have eats of course. And 2, maybe 3 fun activities to do. I’m not the friend that like to wake up early in the morning and do s*** all day long lol. I be needing down time and naps.
I haven’t properly traveled in years. I mean like just traveling for the vibe. I live in 2 countries that are pretty much neighbors with each other. I don’t do anything special when I go to the other one because I don’t view it as that diff from the place I was born. It’s like tomayto tomahto
