But y'all can't say an album where he talks about burning his dead body commercial or trying to get soccer moms, mainstream or whatever dumb s*** y'all be saying
Weeknd stans listen to "Heaven or Las Vegas" once and think they're the most misunderstood people on the planet
Good music > experimental music
After hours >>> DAWN FM
Dawn fm ain't experimental at all.
Aside from Ye who is an obvious example, I think Big Boi of Outkast pulled this off well.
Outkast in their later years was "Black Beatles" status and they were topping charts and winning all types of awards.
Big Boi's solo albums only had moderate success but had very strong musical diversity with Sir Licious having that funk/Jazz/R&B sound, Vicious Lies having a strong indie/alternative rock influence, and Boomiverse being a good blend of modern rap with strong Detroit house/electronic influences. And his last album with Sleepy Brown has a strong R&B element with modern rap influences.
Push but he always had odd beats in his discog
Push doesn't really do numbers like that
travis if utopia proves to be artistically sound
We don’t talk about mass murderers in my threads
We don’t talk about mass murderers in my threads
Crazy that this is the narrative that’s getting spun on Travis
wtf was experimental about these?
these all have traditional song structures
the beats are a bit off the wall but they all boil down to radio friendly in the end lmao
This I love the album but these songs aren't that experimental imo
