Carti and maybe Tyler. I think most other big rappers are either clearly past their prime or we don't know if they are or not because they refuse to drop.
Seems like every established rapper already peaked even in the current gen
G Herbo
Tyler, The Creator
Don Toliver
Wifisfuneral
Playboi Carti
I would say YB even though the last Album was overwhelmingly long I still enjoy it, had to kinda separate it into 2 different albums to get a better feel for the music
Yung Bleu
SoFaygo
Yeat
Vince Staples
EST Gee
I ain’t wrong
Hes having a great stretch but he’s so far below his actual prime that it’s borderline disrespectful to call it a second prime

Vince and Carti very true
HNVM out
It’s fire but it’s barely rap and still doesn’t touch his actual prime of 2011-15/16

I feel like YB peaked 2019/2020
Maybe Earl? Doesn’t drop enough tho
I genuinely think Earl could have a DOOM 04-05 run in his mid 30s if he wanted to and got the right production

All the projects he dropped with Hit-Boy are arguably on the same level as his prime material. To think my claim is far-fetched is disrespectful to Nas and Hit

You genuinely think those projects are comparable to illmatic and it was written?
Drake hitting a second one
nah
he is still sharp lyrically
but a few levels below his true Prime to me
that ended around 2018 or 17 even though More Life is one of my favorites from Drake
I think the main distinction comes from him not having direct competition and he doesn't feel any external pressure from his peers or the generation above him as a Rapper or even just as a musician
21?
Yeah definitely
Tyler and 21 are the main two who come to mind
Durk too kinda but I think he might be out of it
