I mean just speaking on a artistic level, mental health convo aside

The streaming era ruined his quality output

It supports his spontaneity too much

    I agree

i defended donda from the ye is washed haters because i think it is great

but listening to vultures 1 and 2 especially i am completely convinced this man is washed

the entire album feels lazy and thrown together fr

I think as a later career album, Donda is pretty damn good. He really put a lot of effort into it.

Vultures 1, although it has its shortcomings, still felt like a constructed album when it finally hit streaming.

Vultures 2…still trying to figure out what the point of releasing it in this state is. Usually this is first listening party stream level and he pushes the date back until he’s crowd sourced it a few times and makes his revisions. This time it went straight to streaming.

I think if kanye just focused on making music for North for a project as his sole musical focus…at this stage in his life and career, would do him tons of good and lessen the stakes. I doubt that he would do that but I would like that for him more than I would care for the actual music that comes of it. Kinda like how 3 stacks made the Class of 3000 soundtrack.

He’s made a lot of compelling music that’s stood the test of time. As a fan, he’s given more than enough musically. He’ll be 50 soon. I mean if he can go into a religious era for a couple of projects, i don’t see why it’s out of the realm possibilities he could go into just focusing on North’s career and just popping out here and there.

Kanye like every other goat artist before has a moment of brilliancy and then is washed for the latter part of his career. is what it is but it’s also not specific to him

He hasn’t been the same to me since his mom died. Completely understandable it would f*** me up too but that was the tangible change from who I held the old Kanye as in my head

    Everything

    bro.

he's damn near 30 years into his career.

    wtf do yall expect

Not laziness. He's using Ai and not even changing g verses from the leaks. And what changes he did make, ruined songs.

You can be washed, the laziness isn't acceptable.

An executive producer for an album would benefit Ye big time.....someone who can give him that structure without shilling for the majors.

Kanye's ego to big for him to have somebody putting limitations on him

a lot of ppl say "his moms death changed" him. And I disagree. I think his mom's death is a turning point for him.

But I moreso believe that he was always an a******. His mom being his manager just kept him grounded.

    • His ego is big, but unlike all of his his current yes men, he actually respected him mom.
    • his mom would have deaded a lot of his crazy talk before he event anywhere public. Like "Slavery is a choice" and all of the Hitler/Nazi talk

Her death cause his career to go into a different trajectory

    This, I think the same.

I think his process of making hundreds of versions of a song has become untenable. There’s just no way I could tell what’s good and what’s not if I made the same piece that many times with that many collaborators

  • AshTheRobot

Kanye's ego to big for him to have somebody putting limitations on him

It’s gotta be someone that he respects and I think he’d let someone “somewhat” executive produce.

It’ll have to be a young artist tho

  • Aug 4, 2024

Brain trauma, his mom died, he’s a manchild with an endless bankroll, and his wife/mother in law tried to get him killed. Listen to the lyrics lmaooo man has been screaming for help

  • Aug 4, 2024

imagine if ye was still with his old label and cared about music/fans we could be getting College Drop Out Super Deluxe editions with stuff we havent heard before/new mixes. and Late Registration Super Deluxe in 2025 with live stuff, new mixes, bhind the scenes video content, demos and a reissue of Late Orchestration on vinyl

  • Resources financially, no label backing/putting pressure, life, he doesn't have the same motivation for music anymore, mentally drained

He shows some brilliance at times that he could do it...I remember when everyone thought he couldn't perform live anymore and then Larry hoover show came out where he actually rehearsed

  • Aug 4, 2024

His brain has been pudding for years, 2+ decades of unchecked and mismanaged mental health issues, a pain killer addiction, and now he’s addicted to nitrous. There’s no grand conspiracy. It’s one man who ruined his own life.

We all need to move on.
