i've missed the ticket sale date for EVERY concert i would've gone to this year... it was not this hard to get tickets to a show like two years ago

and yeah i know scalpers, f*** ticketmaster etc. but i'm talking more than just the big mainstream acts. even the more up and coming artists are selling out venues within days/24 hours. can anyone explain the sudden scarcity because i can't follow every single artist i like on social media in hope of a tour announcement y'know

i got phoebe bridgers december tickets via vivid seats. my luck is really s*** when it comes to waiting "in line" the sites always just crash

i'm talking shows i find out about a week or so after tickets go on sale and it's already sold out. i remember being a teenager and waiting for all of my friends to get paid so we could be tickets to a show together at these same venues, or when you could show up and buy a ticket day of. it feels like that doesn't exist anymore

Sucks to admit but if OpenAI uses their eyeball scanning device to sell concert tickets exclusively to humans I will be the first to scan my s*** and give them all of my data.

thankfully this only applies to huge cities, waited two weeks before the strokes concert last month to get tickets and still got good seats

most of the time after the first tour they have it’s easier to get tickets the second time. Either they upgrade venue so more tickets available or hyped died down
