there's an immense amount of great music coming out and i think frank's aesthetic and artistic decisions did make it stand out, but that's really all that separates most 'classic' albums from very good forgotten ones. Imo in the streaming age buying into an aesthetic is probably the biggest difference-maker
That's true.
I wasn't trying to take away from the music at all, just trying to highlight that the image was just as important if not more
I love TPAB but it's really not that accessible to the GP
the way mfs talk abt u think it was some death grips or smthn but its mad easy to groove to
As much as I love both artists, Björk was an icon in the mainstream from the jump. Back in the 90s the genres she was dabbling in were already making waves so it was easier for her to become more successful. Charli on the otherhand is prospering in a niche internet genre. To music nerds, she’ll be an icon, but Björk‘s legacy is a tour de force even if you’re not familiar with her music.
i can see that happening
she is fairly young still and bjork only started peaking in her 30s so

I mean I agree but I'm also a huge fan of jazz and soul music so that's why it's easy listening personally
the average zoomer aint gonna wanna hear jazz rap unfortunately
Tpab bashing funny asl to me cause its a pretty accessible album honestly
Not for casuals. Too many words and sounds they not used to in hiphop lol

This is also very true. She’s on a creative hot streak rn so who knows what will happen lol
All I know is DAVIDP's music thread playlist on spotify is aging like wine

Yeah aside from s*** like For Free and the 2nd half of Mortal Man, the majority of songs on their aren't super off putting, it's not an acquired taste like Atrocity Exhibition or SRS.
Dont know why he put For Free on there s*** is trash
OutKast discography. 2010s trap will probably define the south and Atlanta for the foreseeable future. The impact of OutKast’s discography (on the youth) will continue to fade.
