Thursday and Echoes of Silence
Trilogy as a whole will no longer be seen as a classic, House Of Balloons is the only tape of the three that will maintain that status
Not saying this as an insult, but were Thursday and EOS considered classics in the first place? I feel like they're beloved by Weeknd fans, but it's not universal like HOB is.
i might get dragged for this but remain in light by the talking heads isn’t what most people make it out to be. good album, but i tried to see what’s so special about it that people call revolutionary and i can’t find it

Yo I thought you were cool
mbdtf has too much critical acclaim at this point, zoomers preferring pablo doesn't mean s***, people will be interested in mbdtf 60-70 years from now the same way young people check out albums like pet sounds or revolver today
this take is trash cuz ye will be there when most of those fast food artists ktt loves are long forgotten
That’s what I’m saying.
How is it going to change in 10 years
Illmatic is 26 years old and it’s still viewed as a classic.

not saying it’s bad, it’s just not a classic to me. maybe it’ll click later
If you read up on the history of Remain in Light, you will have a better appreciation for it. Album was a pioneer when it comes to sampling @ADE
Idk is there an example of an album that is no longer seen as a classic? Can’t think of one
Maybe an album that has been booted off the rolling stone top 500?
sgt pepper always gonna be a classic lmao. it and thriller are like THE classic albums.
wanna say funeral by arcade fire is fading away. at one point it felt like a classic of the 2000s but hardly ever see it discussed anymore.

@Sir_Swagalot To be honest, L.A. Woman is an album that I've noticed hasn't been mentioned as often in talks of classics in the past few years. I've always viewed Morrison Hotel as their late career masterpiece, not L.A. Woman.
