Hell naw, it's already a certified classic that has aged well and influenced artists.

The Love Below is on another level of musicianship.

Erykah Badu says it's one of the best albums ever.. and she's totally right.

Thank you 3K for a dope blend of pop, funk, psychedelic, jazz, electronic and hip hop music, all in one album.

Its a cool lil album like i said but its not the monumental flawless rap album people make it out to be

Matter fact i think in 10 years or so and we’ve corrected from the 3k overhype people will say a lil bit more, stay tuned

Well, it's not a "rap album" lol. It has very little rapping.

    It's a monumental music album.

She's a genuine fan of that album, she put it up there as one of her all time favs along with like 6 Prince albums, Joni Mitchell, Pink Floyd, Earth Wind & Fire, etc.

I agree it is lacking in rapping so it shouldnt be judged as such

But when you talk to people now that put him as a top 5 in hip hop they’ll point to TLB in response to the critique that he cant be top 5 with no solo

It’s a cool lil experimental album but apart from aesthetics it came and went

Lol why do you want to belittle its worth so badly? It was a genuine artistic expression.

It showed a level of musicianship that other rappers can't match and literally influenced some important s***.

Kanye, Kendrick and Tyler were all directly influenced by that album.

  • Oct 22, 2020

It is a solo album, just not a solo rap album, and that's fine.

Andre doesn't have to rap, his singing is good enough.

Even an instrumental track from him like his cover of "My Favorite Things", or more recently "Look Ma No Hands" is great.

Thats cool, everyone has been influenced by everything(kdot was influenced by Lil B), it has to be quantified for it to have any value

Its ite tho, an album doesnt have to be perfect or amazing to be influential or loved

Im not saying its ass im saying in the current hype for 3k its elevated and it’ll settle down in the future

He wasn't influenced by Lil B the same way he was influenced by Andre lmao. He directly took flows and musical ideas from Andre.

No matter how many posts you're gonna make trying to refute The Love Below's worth, I 100% disagree as I actually see that album as oddly underrated and misunderstood by a lot of hip hop fans to begin with.

One of my fav albums OAT.
